LESSON 2 THEORY

LESSON 2.
ORGANISATIONAL STRUCTURE OF PRIMARY SCHOOLS.

In this second class of theory, the topic we have focused on, organisational structure of primary schools, I found very interesting, since I did not know very well how a school was really organized and the different organs that exist within a center school.

The second lesson of the subject covers the organisational structure of the Primary Education centers. This topic is of great importance, since for a center school work properly it is necessary the proper cooperation of the various organs that form it. For this, it is necessary that the members of the school are constantly updating themselves since every  short period of time new laws appear that modify this organizational structure. Also required in the school, a staff that is properly prepared to perform each of the functions.

This is a little video in which explains the different governing positions and governing bodies, and their principles functions. Although it is in spanish, due to I don't find any information about this in english.

Other point to above into a consideration is the vocabulary what I have learned in this second class of theory, there are some words I did not know their meaning.

Vocabulary:
Career civil servant: A civil servant is a person who works in the public sector and his first priority is to represent the interests of citizens.
Governing position: it means to be officially in charge of the place, and to have responsibility for making laws, managing the economy, and controlling public services.
Governing bodies: it is the institution or group of institutions that provide direct support to the chief executive.
Teacher board: The board of teachers means a group of teachers that are on a committee that makes some sort of decision.
School council: it refers to a group of students who have been proposed and elected by their colleagues to represent their views and raise issues.
Annual general programme:it is the program approved by the principal in which the objectives of the school year are explained.
Education centre project: A project in education is a collaborative process, frequently involving different teacher and educational staff, that is carefully planned to achieve a particular aim of learning.
Provisional director of education: is a temporary director but he has the same rights and duties as other directors.
Centres budget plan:It is an action plan aimed at meeting an expected goal, expressed in financial values and terms.
Ensuring students wellbeing during breaks and non-teaching activities:it refers student health and well-being, it so important the role of school support staff alongside teaching staff
Form Teachers’ Action Plan: Teachers can use the action plan to define a goal or decide how they will evaluate the students.

The contents of this topic can be quite dense at first and confusing; however, with a good organization of them and with clear ideas, it is possible to understand the organisational structure of the centers that comprise the members that compose it and the functions they perform. For this, the help of the teacher is essential, which in this case has highlighted the most important and explained the subject in a precise way.
One of the things that I have found most difficult to understand on this subject has been the book reuse program coordinator.
